Why This Exists

This isn’t a brand or a project. It’s just a space to write.

I started this blog because I needed a place to slow down. A space outside the pace of work and the noise of social media—somewhere to sort through things without rushing.

I work in military intelligence and spend a lot of time thinking about rhythm—on the dance floor and off. I’ve spent years tracking patterns: in systems, in people, in how we lead, and how we move. Some patterns are tactical. Others are personal. A few I’m still trying to figure out.

Pattern of life is an intel term—it’s about the rhythms people leave behind without knowing. But for me, it’s also about curiosity. Noticing what repeats. What matters. What sticks.

This site is where I put the things that don’t quite fit anywhere else—thoughts on warfighting, leadership, intelligence, culture, travel, music, and how we hold ourselves together. Some essays are sharper. Some are looser. All of them are honest.

No schedule. No categories. Just writing, when it feels right.

Thanks for being here. If something hits, I’m always open to a message.
